 Quality AssuranceQuality AssuranceRiverina Citrus - Citrus in the Riverina The region’s orchard and packing house quality assurance programs were initiated by Riverina Quality Management in 1992, by adopting national and international quality principles. The aim, to implement quality management practices and ensure the quality of fruit produced and packaged meets the specifications and quarantine requirements of national and international markets, and seeks to establish and maintain a high standard of quality in both orchard and packhouse operations. The Riverina citrus industry is committed to Integrated Pest Management and the use of all available methods for the control of orchard pests in an environmentally friendly manner. The system is implemented through professional pest management services, contracted by growers and combined with skills attained by growers through workshops organised by Riverina Citrus in conjunction with the NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI).
